Sacramento District Projects Get $2.1 Billion In Supplemental Appropriation

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers News Release – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced supplemental funding for five Sacramento District projects, totaling an investment of more than $2.1 billion in flood risk management efforts. Sacramento District projects funded with supplemental appropriations include flood risk management upgrades on the American and Sacramento rivers in Sacramento, dam remediation at Isabella Lake, reservoir enlargement at Success Lake, levee improvements on the Marysville Ring Levee, and continued upgrades at Folsom Dam. Greg Harvey has been selected as the Board’s Plan Implementation and Compliance Branch Chief, effective July 1, 2019. Greg has over 18 years of experience in the engineering field and has been with the Board since 2017. Since that time, Greg has played an active role in the coordination with key agencies for the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan Update, managed multiple flood system improvement projects, and acted as PIC Branch Supervisor for nine months.
