At the CVFPB’s May 19^th Board Meeting, Mr. Cepello, who is retiring after 35 years of public service, was presented with the CVFPB’s Resolution of Appreciation. Mr. Cepello, Chief of DWR’s Floodway Ecosystem Sustainability Office, was honored not only for his many years of service and accomplishments working for the Department of Water Resources on environmental, habitat, and conservation issues, but also for his assistance and leadership in development of the Conservation Strategy, a document that is critical to the Board’s adoption of the 2017 Update to the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan.
