2017 CVFPP Update: Investment Strategy Technical Memorandum released for review

The 2017 Central Valley Flood Protection Plan Update Investment Strategy Technical Memorandum and appendices are available for review. The Investment Strategy Technical Memorandum was developed to identify recommendations to fund the 2017 refined system-wide investment approach (SSIA) portfolio as described in the 2017 CVFPP Update. Development of the investment strategy included assembling the costs from the supporting planning studies and analyses, developing priorities of expenditures, and investigating several scenarios for funding implementation of the CVFPP.

Draft Central Valley Flood Protection Plan Update is Now Available

The Draft Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) Update is a strategic and long-range plan for improving flood risk management in the Central Valley. It also emphasizes the need for long-term, multi-benefit projects rather than single-purpose flood management projects. CVFPP requirements include an update every five years, with 2017 being the first update. The Supplemental Program Environmental Impact Report, prepared for the 2017 CVFPP Update, evaluates potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures. Both drafts are available online for review (https://cvfpb.ca.gov/cvfpp/), as well as information regarding how to provide comments. Read more
