From USACE CORPSCONNECTION- Cache Creek is a west-side tributary of the Sacramento River near Sacramento, California. Lower Cache Creek has a history of flooding, and the study area experienced multiple flood events since the mid-1900s. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with the State of California’s Central Valley Flood Protection Board and the City of Woodland, completed a study to investigate and determine the extent of federal interest in a range of alternative plans that reduce flood risk to the city and surrounding areas.
