Permitting and Inspection Fees
The Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB) requires fees for permitting, inspection activities, and other authorizations. The fees are based on the type of encroachment to be permitted and will be assessed in accordance with the fee schedule in Appendix B, Exhibit 1 of California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Waters, Division 1. Fees include permit review, construction inspection, and routine inspection.
Please make all fee checks payable to “Central Valley Flood Protection Board”. Checks should list project name in the memo line.
- Permit review fees are due when an application is submitted. Technical review will not begin until appropriate fees are paid.
- Construction inspection fees are due prior to permit issuance. Approved permits will not be issued until appropriate fees are paid.
- Routine inspection fees are due prior to scheduled routine inspections. A notice of fees due will be mailed to the permittee well in advance of the scheduled routine inspection. The timeline for routine inspections can be found on the fee schedule.
- Fees are also required for Maintenance and Minor Alteration authorizations.
