New Board Member Appointed | Jim DeBoo

The Central Valley Flood Protection Board welcomes Jim DeBoo as its newest Board Member, following his appointment by Governor Gavin Newsom. DeBoo is the founder of DeBoo Strategic Affairs and brings more than two decades of leadership and public policy experience across state and local government. His career includes serving as Executive Secretary in the Office of the Governor, Interim Chief of Staff and Director of the Speaker’s Office of Member Services in the California State Assembly, and Chief Legislative Representative for the Mayor of Los Angeles. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from California State University, Chico. The Board looks forward to Mr. DeBoo’s contributions in advancing its mission to reduce flood risk and improve public safety throughout California’s Central Valley.
