From KCRA3 – KCRA 3 chief meteorologist Mark Finan said, in a nutshell, most areas are of no concern. These include the watersheds for the American and Feather rivers, which will be fine, as well as the Sacramento River. Shasta, Oroville and Folsom dams, as well as the Bullards Bar Reservoir, are also not expected to have any issues. “Folsom Dam is going to do its job,” Finan said, adding that the American River has not experienced flooding since it was built in 1955. Upstream and downstream rivers in these areas will see higher water levels but are not expected to flood at this point. However, there are a few places, namely in the eastern Sierra, that could see some flooding.
